Location and Directions
Our name, Hi Point Steak House, recognizes our location on a prominent elevation. We are located in Ridgeway, amidst the rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin. The region contains the largest concentration of hardwood forests in the Midwest, and is known as a top-rated area for bicycling, hiking, recreational vehicles and other outdoor activities.
Running parallel to the highway, directly across from the Hi Point, is the hillcrest route of the historic 1835 Military Road. Colonel Zachary Taylor (who would later become the 12th President of the United States) supervised the construction of this road linking the lead-mining region of southwestern Wisconsin to Lake Michigan. Today, the road has been transformed into the Military Ridge State Trail, part of a linked collection of state-maintained trails serving bicyclists and hikers.
